Great news for international mobility! The United Kingdom will rejoin the Erasmus+ programme in 2027 🇪🇺🤝🇬🇧
I’m personally thrilled by this announcement. The UK was my very first international mobility experience and my Erasmus at the University of Leeds 🇬🇧, back in 2012, was one of the most transformative experiences of my life. I was suddenly immersed in a new language, different academic dynamics, other intellectual traditions and innovative ways of thinking. I learned alongside brilliant students from across the world and forged long-lasting friendships. I loved it so much that I even did a second Erasmus two years later in the Netherlands! 🇳🇱
Looking back, many of the choices I have made since then find their roots in those Erasmus experiences. I realized I wanted mobility and international cooperation to be at the core of my professional path—and made it happen ✨
Seeing the UK reconnect with Erasmus+ means more young people will once again have access to this life-shaping experience. Not only as a learning opportunity, but also as a catalyst for open-mindedness, adaptability, and lasting cooperation. And that matters, for individuals but also for the future of our global community 🌍
