#EUDEL 🇪🇺 🇺🇳 #UN Presentation

As the 2024 European Parliament elections are approaching and the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2024 is in full swing, I am excited to share two recent stimulating and enriching experiences at the European Union Delegation to the United Nations 🇪🇺 🇺🇳

⭐️ On February 15, I had the pleasure of engaging in a fruitful discussion with EU Delegate to the UN, Ms. Simona Popan, on the importance of multilateralism and enhanced EU-UN connections, while touring the Delegation upon her kind invitation. Multilateralism is and will remain pivotal in addressing contemporary challenges and promoting global peace 🕊

⭐️ On February 29, my colleague, Ms. Marilys Duteil, and I had the privilege of presenting the work we carry out at the Meetings Coverage Section of the United Nations Department of Global Communications to Delegates from the 27 EU Member States during a special session on the UN Sixth Committee. We engaged with the Delegates and discussed how our press releases can support their day-to-day activities. The interest and valuable insights shared by the participants were truly inspiring.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Simona Popan for her gracious invitations and warm welcome. With my background in EU politics, the time spent at the Delegation was most special to me. I eagerly look forward to continuing the dialogue with the delegations and fostering connections among all civil servants in New York.
