Today, we celebrate UN Day, marking the anniversary of the entry into force of the UN Charter in 1945 and, with it, the collective promise to uphold peace, dignity and equality for all.

Multilateralism is not just a political concept. It is a commitment. It requires dialogue across cultures, patience in negotiations and trust between nations to turn words into action. As global challenges grow more complex, cooperation remains our most powerful tool. Despite criticism and constraints, the UN has a long record of irreplaceable achievements and continues to be the only platform where every nation has a voice.
